{"id":1715,"date":"2015-08-25T17:59:32","date_gmt":"2015-08-25T17:59:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stagingserver.website\/gold\/?p=1715"},"modified":"2015-08-25T17:59:32","modified_gmt":"2015-08-25T17:59:32","slug":"now-supplying-vaccines-to-kids-under-19","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/golddirectcare.com\/2015\/08\/25\/now-supplying-vaccines-to-kids-under-19\/","title":{"rendered":"Now Supplying Vaccines to Kids Under 19!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So after battling with the state of Massachusetts since February, we finally got the okay to supply State Vaccines.<\/p>\n<p>The vaccines which we can supply are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>DTaP<\/strong><\/em> (Helps children develop immunity to three deadly diseases caused by bacteria: diphtheria, tetanus, and whooping cough aka pertussis.)<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Hep A<\/strong><\/em> (Used for\u00a0prevention of\u00a0 liver disease caused by the hepatitis A virus.)<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Hep B<\/strong><\/em> (Used for\u00a0prevention of\u00a0 liver disease caused by the hepatitis B virus.)<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>HIB<\/strong><\/em> (Used for prevention of invasive disease caused by Haemophilus influenzae type b bacteria.)<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>IPV<\/strong><\/em> (Used to combat poliomyelitis aka Polio.)<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>PCV13<\/strong><\/em> (Used\u00a0to protect infants and toddlers from pneumococcal disease.)<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>RV<\/strong><\/em> (Oral Dosage- Used to prevent\u00a0Rotavirus which is a contagious virus that can cause gastroenteritis.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These vaccines can be supplied to anyone under the age of 19. \u00a0However, we will not be supplying <em><strong>HPV<\/strong><\/em> or\u00a0<em><strong>Menactra<\/strong><\/em>(Meningococcal Meningitis Vaccine). \u00a0We do have places we can send our patients to receive these vaccines at a cash price, or by using their insurance.<\/p>\n<p>We will be implementing a <em>$20 inoculation fee<\/em> to help pay for the needles and syringes. \u00a0This is just a one time fee per visit, NOT per vaccination.<\/p>\n<p>If you have any questions, or would like to set up an appointment, please call our office at 781-842-3961.<\/p>\n<p>If you would like to know more about the vaccines, or what schedule your child should be on, you can visit the CDC website <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/vaccines\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So after battling with the state of Massachusetts since February, we finally got the okay to supply State Vaccines.
